This Chénas, grown on steep and granite-rich soils, is reminiscent of a Moulin-à-Vent with its deep colour and aromatic bouquet of violets and roses. This is one of the smallest appellations in the Beaujolais. Total vineyard area: 249ha Winemaking
Traditional vinification with controlled temperature. Tasting note
Deep and intense in colour, the 2010 Chénas reveals black fruit aromas with a touch of spice. On tasting, the tannins are soft and nicely integrated and outline great structure. An interesting finish of black fruit and currants. Suggested food pairings
Wild game, meat dishes with sauces, roasts, charcuterie and cheese. Serving temperature
Between 12 & 15°C
