The most southerly of all the Crus, Brouilly has good colour, backbone and is full-bodied revealing aromas of plums and peaches. "Les Brulées" is a beautiful single vineyard of 0.7 hectares located on the "plateau de Bel-Air". The vines of this plot have been planted in 1949 and 1950. The sub-soil of this plot is crossed by some aluminium veins, which causes frequent lightning fall on the plot, hence the name "The Brulées" which means "The Burned".
