Moulin-à-Vent "Domaine de la Pierre"

Description

The Domaine de la Pierre has 14 hectares on the appellation Moulin-à-Vent. His plots are mainly located on the "granite vein" of Romanèche-Thorins. Our climats are "La Teppe", "Les Métérées", "La Bruyère", "En Brenay". Those vineyards have sandy clay soils oriented East and Southeast. Two of the plots are located on the climat "En Morier" facing South and near "Grimarais", exposed slightly Southeast. Both are characterized by heavier clay soils, located on ancient foothills with alluvial deposits.

Moulin-à-Vent "Domaine de la Pierre" 2017 - James Suckling - USA - February 2019 - 93/100

Very Moulin-à-Vent with dark berry, perfume, lavender, and sage aromas. Full bodied, tight and structured with lots of black-tea and dark-berry flavors.

Moulin-à-Vent Domaine de la Pierre 2018 - James Suckling - 93 points

Aromas of blackberries, cloves, pine needles, dried flowers and incense. It's medium-to full-bodied with sleek, fine tannins. Muscular and intense with dark-fruit and spice flavors. Succulent. Drink or hold.

Moulin-à-Vent "Domaine de la Pierre" 2017 - Silver Medal - 2021 USA Wine Ratings

Light red fruit with good concentra-tion and a silky mouthfeel. A very bright and refreshing wine. More fruity on the palate, with ripe strawberry and cherry, cranberries and violets.
